Random choice
Fortune wheel
Add options, spin the wheel, and trust the physics of randomness.
How the wheel of fortune works
Labels are spread out radially, cut strictly within their sector, and remain readable even in narrow slices: long names are neatly abbreviated with an ellipsis. The wheel adjusts to the screen width and pixel density, so it looks equally sharp on a laptop, projector, and phone.
For hosts and instructors, there is a 'Full Screen' mode, the scrolling sound can be turned off, and the list can be shuffled or sent via a link: the options are saved directly in the page address.
Fair distribution
The winner is chosen until the start of rotation — a random number from the browser's cryptographic generator crypto.getRandomValues. The rotation angle is calculated so that the pointer is inside the winning sector, and not vice versa: it is impossible to adjust the sector to the “right” place. A small random shift within the sector adds naturalness, but does not change the result.
All options have the same chance of 1/N — the wheel does not 'remember' past spins and does not adjust the frequencies. If you enable 'Remove winning option,' the sector disappears after the draw, and the chances of the remaining ones become equal again.
Why is this convenient
The wheel is visible on the big screen, which is why it is loved by hosts, teachers, and streamers: the result cannot be disputed, and the process itself looks like real spinning. The history of the last ten results is saved in the browser — you can copy it with one button and paste it into a chat or report.
What is it used for

- to give away a prize on a stream, in class, or in the office;
- to determine the order of moves in a board game;
- decide where to go for the weekend;
- to add excitement to the presentation, quiz, or meeting.
